Meet Our Team
Dr. Edgar Ballenas, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Ballenas has been certified in medical aesthetics since 2004. He is a Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician, an Associate Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Physicians and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
He is also certified to offer treatments in the field of permanent hair reduction, photo skin rejuvenation, and removal of pigmented and fine vascular lesions.
Dr. Ballenas is also proud to offer body sculpting lipolysis to relieve individuals of those areas which can not be reduced by diet or exercise. Laser assisted Vaser Lipo body sculpting has been proven to be very effective for the removal of unwanted fat almost anywhere on the body – as well as for the treatment of lipomas, excessive sweating, cellulite, stretch marks and gynecomastia. It is performed under light oral sedation with minimal downtime.
In addition to Vaser Lipo fat removal, Dr. Ballenas offers autologous fat transfer, in which unwanted fat is removed from the patient’s body (such as from the belly) – and then transferred to areas where more fat is desired (such as the breasts or buttocks). This minimally invasive body contouring procedure requires no incisions and little recovery time – immediately leaving the patient with improved, more attractive body proportions.

LuAnn Russell, is a Master Aesthetician, multiple-certified laser technician, and our practice manager, with over 20 years of experience in the aesthetic industry. LuAnn started her career working on Newberry Street in Boston. Her passion is to improve the health and appearance of every patients’ skin.
LuAnn has received many certificates and advanced training in facial sculpting with dermal fillers and neurotoxins. She has attended classes and symposiums from Dr. Stephen Dyan, Dr. Jayson Posner, Dr. Goldberg, and Dr. Arthur Swift and received numerous certificates and CME credits.
She has also attended the Aesthetic Extender Symposium in Florida for eight years, for a wide variety of advanced trainings. She specializes in anti-aging procedures with the industry leading technologies using physician grade skin care, as well as the treatment of acne and scars. She has extensive knowledge of skin conditions and is always current on the latest treatments and home care modalities.
LuAnn has also received advanced training and certificates in the operation of lasers from medical laser technology companies, Candela Fraxel, IPL, Vbeam , EMatrix, and Velashape – as well as Dr. Jayson Posner’s training for Sciton Joule BBL, Cynosure lasers, Emerge laser, and Fotona laser.
Additionally, LuAnn has attended trainings and received certificates for microneedling, Advanced Mesotherapy with the Pistor Eliance, advanced chemical peels and microdermabrasion. Zachary Rega-Oliveira DNP(c)
MHA, PMHNP-BC, NEA-BC
Zachary Rega-Oliveira is an advanced practice nurse specializing in minimally invasive medical aesthetic procedures including neurotoxin and dermal filler treatments. Zachary has an undergraduate degree from Roger Williams University, a Master of Science in Nursing and Master of Health Administration from the University of Phoenix. He completed his Nurse Practitioner degree at Riviera University in Nashua New Hampshire, and is scheduled to complete his Doctoral education at Riviera in the Fall of 2023.
In addition, he has obtained two board certifications from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is an affiliate of the National Honor Society of Nurses, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), and the American Plastic Surgical Nurses Association (APSNA). Zachary started in medical aesthetics in 2013 having received training by a Harvard University trained, board certified plastic surgeon.
He began his career as a Nurse Injector at his own medical salon/spa and has since worked at other area medical spa practices and has had the opportunity to teach medical aesthetics to other aspiring healthcare professionals. His goal is to establish lasting relationships with patients, providing quality, safe, and satisfying care.
In addition to his career in aesthetic medicine, Zachary has held positions in Senior Leadership for several local hospitals, with his most recent position being the Director of Psychiatric Services for a local hospital system. Zachary also has a passion for education and has taught at many local universities and has had the opportunity to inject on stage at pharmaceutical events alongside esteemed colleagues within the field of facial aesthetics.
Stephanie DeMello, DNP

Our Nurse Practitioner Stephanie’s career began in 2012 when she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Simmons University in Boston, MA. She completed her clinical coursework at some of the top hospitals in Boston and began her professional career in the hospital setting. After several years of working in the Emergency Room at Massachusetts General Hospital, Stephanie followed her passion and began training to become an aesthetic nurse.
Her journey in the field of aesthetics began in 2018. She has completed multiple certifications and trainings in various aesthetic treatments and modalities. During this time Stephanie also decided to pursue her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.
In May of 2022 Stephanie earned her doctorate degree, allowing her to expand her role in aesthetics as a Doctorally Prepared Nurse Practitioner. She to date has completed certifications in Advanced Botox and Filler Injection techniques, IV Infusion and Vitamin Therapy, Medical Weight Loss, Peptide Therapy, and Hormone Replacement, Stephanie is passionate about bringing a unique perspective of beauty, health, and wellness to her patients at Belissimo through her education, training, and experience.

Born, raised and educated in Moscow, USSR, Bellisimo Med Spa founder and owner Bella Krashenny immigrated with her husband and daughter to the USA in 1981.
Bella earned her RN degree in 1974 and her Graduate Nurse Practitioner Degree with Concentration in Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery 1976. From 1976 through 1981 Bella worked with leading medical doctors and surgeons at the prestigious Institute of Medical Aesthetics, the only cosmetic and surgery clinic in the USSR at the the time. When Bella arrived in the USA, in spite of her high level of skill and experience, unfortunately her educational credits did not transfer. So she took several additional exams and became licensed as a Master Aesthetician.
In 1986 Bella Krashenny opened her first skin care studio in Worcester, Bellisimo European Skin Care, on Chandler Street in Tatnuck Square. More than 3 decades later, after many transformations and reincarnations, Bellisimo Med Spa and Laser Clinic still resides in Worcester on Chandler Street. Now in a different building, with a different and more advanced menu of services, Bella and her Bellisimo Med Spa team still provide the same dedication, expertise, and unparalleled level of caring and service.
With her magic touch, extensive medical and aesthetic experience, and unwavering passion, Bella is renowned as a leading paramedical aesthetician in Central Massachusetts. Skilled and certified in a wide range of state-of-the-art aesthetic modalities, Bella specializes in anti-aging skin care and laser services, as well as acne management.
Bella Kreshenny is both a true leader and a maverick in the aesthetic skincare industry – known to bring new products and services to her clients and patients, before they become “mainstream”. She loves to share her knowledge and experience generously, with her staff and new aestheticians, positioning her as a highly-respected, lifelong mentor and supporter in Worcester’s aesthetic service community.
Lindsay Ljunggren, RN, BSN
Nurse Injector
Lindsay is a Nurse Injector with an RN, BSN. One of her passions is helping those around her feel and be the most beautiful versions of themselves. So she became certified for Botox injections through Bellisimo Med Spa and joined the team shortly after.
Lindsay has also worked as a pediatric nurse, and absolutely loves it. Helping children and being there for their families is another absolute passion of hers.
Lindsay says: “I am super excited to be a part of such a great team and fulfill my dream of helping others feel beautiful!”
